If a card of yours was compromised
Contact your card issuer using the number on the back of the card, ask for the card to be frozen and replaced, and review recent transactions. In the US you can also report identity theft at IdentityTheft.gov and file a complaint with the FTC. Those steps are free and they are the ones that actually recover money.
