Selling CVV numbers, full card dumps, or account credentials is carding, and it is a federal crime in the United States under 18 U.S.C. ยง 1029 (fraud and related activity in connection with access devices). I can't write a guide, list marketplaces, or describe payment methods for that activity, and I won't produce content that helps anyone do it.
Why this isn't a gray area
CVV data belongs to real cardholders. Selling it causes chargebacks, drained accounts, and identity theft for the people whose cards were stolen. Platforms that host this trade are also targets for law enforcement, so buyers and sellers lose funds and face prosecution.
What I can write instead
If your site covers payments or fraud, here are topics that are legal, useful, and searchable.
- CVV fraud prevention for merchants: how AVS and CVV checks cut card-not-present fraud, plus chargeback thresholds to watch.
- How card networks flag stolen cards: what issuers, processors, and fraud-scoring tools do when a card is reported.
- Legitimate high-risk payment processing: chargeback reserves, rolling reserves, and why some merchants get declined by mainstream processors.
- Consumer protection: how to freeze a card, dispute a charge, and report carding to the FTC or IC3.
- Careers in fraud prevention: rules analysts, chargeback specialists, and trust-and-safety roles at payment companies.
If you are being paid fast for card data, that is the warning sign
Instant payout is a hallmark of illegal carding forums, not a feature of any compliant business. Legitimate payment processing involves KYC, underwriting, and settlement timelines measured in days. There is no lawful marketplace that settles CVV sales within minutes.
